Gerard Moufflet, CEO and Founder
Mr. Moufflet is CEO and Founder of Acceleration International, a firm based in Boston, which invests in the Healthcare sector in both Europe and the US.
From 1989 to 2001, Mr. Moufflet was a Managing Director at Advent International, one of the world's leading Private Equity Investment firms with funds under management totaling over $10 billion. During that period he headed the Health Care Practice Worldwide and oversaw investments particularly in Europe and in the US. He participated in fund raising as well as numerous Investment Committee decisions for all sectors of the firm.
From 1972 to 1989 Mr. Moufflet worked for Baxter International where he was in charge of various European, African Operations and Head of Worldwide Strategic Planning for the dialysis product line. He was appointed Corporate Vice President in 1987.
Mr. Moufflet is a very accomplished Board member and serves on the Board of several privately held companies in Europe and the US. Mr. Moufflet is also involved with non profit organizations: he is the Chairman of the French Cultural Center. From 2001 to 2010 he served as Chairman of the Board of Fellows of the Harvard Dental School of Medicine and since 2011 is a member of the HSDM Advisory Board. He has been recently appointed Trustee of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear (a Harvard Medical School affiliate). He is a member of the Board of the Massachusetts Medical Industry Council (MassMEDIC).
Mr. Moufflet is a graduate of the EDHEC Business School in France, he has an MBA (1969) from the University of Pittsburgh where he was a Pittsburgh Plate Class Foundation Scholar. He is a Harvard Business School AMP (1987) and he has been honored by the President of France as a "Chevalier de l'Ordre du Merite National".
